Formma
Resources are for using, not archiving
Formma treats references as fuel for a board that ends in a publication — not as a collection to admire.
Designers, agencies and consultants collect constantly: screenshots, links, type specimens, a color that caught their eye. Most of it ends up in a folder that never gets opened again.
Formma starts from a different principle: resources aren’t archived, they’re used to feed a board.
A notebook with an ending
Formma is a prototyping notebook. You gather in the Library, where each resource is tagged on three axes — Use, Destination and Used in — plus any properties you add. Then you document on a Board: a numbered index of Blocks such as Pages, Collections, tables, mind maps, a business canvas, a roadmap or a kanban.
The ending matters. A board in Formma is meant to become a Publication: a frozen, branded copy you can share with a password and an expiry date.
The brand is part of the work
The brand kit is both content and theme. Define colors and type once, and every Block picks them up. When the brand changes, the board changes with it.
Closing the whole cycle
Mood boards, asset managers and documents each solve one part. Nobody closes the whole cycle: gather, document, define the brand, deliver something publishable. Formma does — in one place, with versions you can go back to.
AI where it helps
AI tags resources and can extract a brand kit from your references. Through MCP you can bring your own AI, serve context from your boards and let agents work with them. All of it optional.
